Strong winds topple trees, rip off roofs in Armenia
Heavy winds knocked down trees and ripped off roofs in some regions of Armenia and the capital Yerevan on Tuesday.
Vehicles and billboards were also damaged as a result of strong winds with gusts of up to 35 m/s, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said.
In particular, the damages were reported in the capital’s Nor Nork, Nork-Marash, Kentron and Shengavit districts, Ararat, Vayots Dzor and Kotayk Provinces.
Fire and rescue squads of the ministry were dispatched to the scenes.
