Georgia records 266 new Covid cases
The Georgian authorities have reported 266 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the tally of the total confirmed cases to 1,652,235 on Wednesday, Civil Georgia said.
In the meantime, 348 more patients have recovered, taking the tally of recoveries to 1,632,194. The number of COVID-related fatalities rose by 2 to 16,781.
To date, there are 3,234 active cases in the country
Out of 266 new cases, 120 were revealed in Tbilisi, the capital, followed by Imereti -- 45, Kvemo Kartli -- 20, Shida Kartli -- 18, Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti -- 15, Kakheti, Guria, Adjara, and Mtskheta-Mtianeti -- 11 each, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti, and Samtskhe-Javakheti -- 2 each.
