Azeri troops withdraw to their initial positions near Seysulan, Artsakh says
The Azerbaijani troops have withdrawn to their initial positions near the settlement of Seysulan, Artsakh’s (Nagorno-Karabakh) Information Center said on Saturday.
The Azerbaijani military violated the line of contact in the neutral zone near the settlement of Seysulan in the Martakert region on Friday. In particular, Azerbaijan deployed a certain amount of manpower, trying to improve its position in the neutral zone.
Late on Friday, as a result of negotiations conducted by the Russian peacekeeping contingent deployed in Artsakh, the Azerbaijani troops agreed to return to their starting positions.
“At this point, the Azerbaijani side has returned to its positions held before the mentioned incident. The operational and tactical situation in other parts of the line of contact is calm,” the Information Center said.
