Armenian female boxers to compete at World Championships in Istanbul
Armenian female boxers are set to compete at the IBA Women's World Boxing Championships to be held in Istanbul, Turkey, in May.
The women’s boxing team will leave for Istanbul on 6 May, the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports reports.
The team includes Anush Grigoryan (50 kg), Ekaterina Sycheva (54 kg), Ani Hovsepyan (70 kg) and Gayane Ter-Barseghyan (48 kg). The latter will be marking her boxing debut in major tournaments.
They will be accompanied by coach Hakob Melkonyan and doctor Rosa Hovhannisyan.
