Nikol Pashinyan arrives in Russia on official visit
Nikol Pashinyan arrived in Russia on a two-day official visit on Tuesday.
He was welcomed at the airport by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko and Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry's State Protocol Department Igor Bogdashev, a footage shared by the Izvestia newspaper shows.
Pashinyan is expected to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on Tuesday. The sides "plan to discuss key issues of the further development of Russian-Armenian relations of strategic partnership and alliance," the Kremlin reported.
Besides, Putin and Pashinyan will consider the implementation of the agreements between the Russian, Armenian and Azerbaijani leaders on Nagorno-Karabakh of November 9, 2020, January 11 and November 26, 2021, including measures to restore economic and transport ties in the region, it added.
