Opposition MP names three areas that should be 'tidied up' after power change in Armenia
Security expert Tigran Abrahamyan, an MP from the opposition With Honor faction, has outlined three key areas that should be “put in order” after a change of power in Armenia.
"The first one is the security system, which includes the army as well as to the National Security Service, the police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations,” he wrote on Facebook on Wednesday.
Abrahamyan stresses the need to prevent the pending problems from further deepening as soon as possible.
“The second one concerns foreign policy. We should be understood by the international community and key players and properly represent pan-Armenian interests as a priority. This also stems from the logic of providing a security component,” the lawmaker said.
“The third is building/restructuring the state administration system and creating an effective system. In any crisis, from pandemic to military operations, the outcomes depend on the timely activation of the administration system and its efficiency.
“There is a colossal work ahead of us with no end in sight, but I believe we should start with these three major areas," Abrahamyan said.
