Armenia's NSS denies any connection with incident involving Hayeli Press Club editor-in-chief
The National Security Service (NSS) of Armenia has denied any involvement in the incident in which unknown persons posing as NSS officers attempted to break into the home of Angela Tovmasyan, the editor-in-chief of the Hayeli (Mirror) Press Club.
"At the same time, we urge Hayeli Club Editor-in-Chief Angela Tovmasyan to file a police report in connection with the incident," the NSS said in a statement on Saturday.
Earlier on Saturday, Tovmasyan told a news conference that unknown persons posing as NSS officers tried to break into her apartment last night.
She did not open the door and immediately called lawyers and opposition Hayastan faction MPs Aram Vardevanyan and Andranik Tevanyan. When the latter arrived, the men had already left.
The reporter asked the National Security Service to launch a probe into the incident.
