Protests demanding Pashinyan's resignation continue in Armenia
The opposition protests demanding that Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his team step down continued in Armenia for the fourth consecutive day on Wednesday, with opposition activists again blocking major roads in the capital Yerevan.
Addressing demonstrators in Yerevan’s France Square on Tuesday evening, opposition leader Ishkhan Saghatelyan said another big rally would be held there late on Wednesday afternoon.
Pashinyan is expected to arrive in the National Assembly at 4pm today for a Q&A session with the government.
"We should gather in the square at 3:30pm to demand his resignation," Saghatelyan said, also calling for continued strikes and boycott of classes.
