Oppositionist: Pashinyan has 'consistently put Armenia up for auction'
Opposition protests aimed at forcing Nikol Pashinyan to resign as Armenian prime minister resumed in Yerevan on Friday.
Groups of protesters began marching from France Square, an intersection of four key streets, at 12pm.
"Nikol Pashinyan has consistently put Armenia up for auction in the key capitals of the world," Armen Ashotyan, Deputy Chairman of the opposition Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), told reporters during the march.
He says an "auction" is now being held in the world to find out who will “buy Armenia at a lower price.”
"Dear foreign colleagues, Pashinyan does not actually represent the interests of the Armenian people. Armenia is not for sale. Artsakh is not for sale. Don't try to buy them, because you will regret it later,” Ashotyan said.
“Don't be fooled by Pashinyan's promises. He has no authority or legitimacy in Armenia, so any deal with him will be invalid," he added.
