Car protests being held in Yerevan
The opposition started simultaneous car protests in various parts of Yerevan on Thursday afternoon to demand Nikol Pashinyan's resignation and attract greater popular support for the campaign.
“The incumbent authorities are leading the country to new capitulation. We must stop it, but it requires more participants [of protests],” Tigran Vardanyan, a board member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), told reporters before the procession of cars.
They will gather in Yerevan’s France Square after the car rally, he said.
“Today, surprises are awaiting Nikol and his junta,” Vardanyan added.
