Gegham Manukyan: ARF activist Gevorg Muradyan joined his fellow political prisoners
Young ARF (Armenian Revolutionary Federation) activist Gevorg Muradyan was arrested in Gyumri on Friday, ARF member and opposition Hayastan bloc MP Gegham Manukyan said on Saturday.
He described Muradyan as an “honest and loyal” young man, saying he headed to the local police station in his company.
“He did not have to hide, though he could, because he was defending the dignity of his family,” Manukyan wrote on Facebook.
“He turned in to the law enforcers and joined his fellow political prisoners, being sure that the struggle for Artsakh and Armenia will not stop, as there are people who will carry it on and bring the fight to a victorious end,” he said.
Gevorg Muradyan is the son of freedom fighter and Proshyan village mayor Hrach Muradyan, who was gunned down by an unknown assailant in 2013.
