RPA politician: Azerbaijan 'concerned' about growing anti-Pashinyan campaign
Azerbaijan is “concerned” about the growing opposition movement aimed at forcing Nikol Pashinyan to step down as Armenian prime minister, Eduard Sharmazanov, the spokesman of the former ruling the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), said on Monday.
He cited the statements of the Azerbaijani authorities that they “will not negotiate” with Armenia’s opposition leaders if they come to power.
“In fact, our national struggle poses a serious threat to the implementation of the anti-Armenian agenda of Erdogan, Aliyev and Pashinyan. Thus, the movement is on the right track,” Sharmazanov wrote on Facebook.
He stressed the need to step up pressure on the government to “show the enemy that the Armenian people will never kneel down.”
“Nikol, you have reached a point where you can only rely on the Baku propaganda for support,” the politician said.
