Police detain over 30 opposition protesters in Yerevan
Police officers detained more than 30 opposition activists holding car protests in Yerevan on Monday to demand that Nikol Pashinyan step down as Armenian prime minister.
A total of 32 protesters were taken to police stations as of 12pm, the police press service told Panorama.am, promising to provide further information on the grounds for the detentions later.
Anti-government protests organized by the opposition Resistance Movement resumed in Armenia on Monday morning with simultaneous car rallies held in various parts of Yerevan.
Officers of a special police unit used force to detain the activists.
