Opposition protesters block over 50 streets in Yerevan
Groups of opposition protesters have blocked dozens of roads in Yerevan since Tuesday morning as part of the ongoing civil disobedience campaign against the Armenian authorities.
“Traffic in Yerevan is paralyzed. More than 50 streets are currently blocked,” opposition leader Ishkhan Saghatelyan wrote on Facebook, adding the number of closed roads was growing.
“A very pleasant and victorious mood has gripped Yerevan. Dear citizens, take to the streets to join your brothers and sisters! We are on the right track. Together until victory!" he said.
Opposition protests demanding that Nikol Pashinyan resign as Armenian prime minister entered the third week on Monday. They were sparked by Pashinyan’s statements on Artsakh.
