Police detain 277 protesters in Yerevan
The Armenian police detained 277 people at peaceful opposition protests in Yerevan on Wednesday morning.
The detentions came as groups of protesters again blocked streets across the city as part of the ongoing civil disobedience campaign to force PM Nikol Pashinyan from office.
The demonstrators were taken to police stations for defying police orders under Article 182 of the Code on Administrative Offences, the police told Panorama.am.
The police reported a total of 414 detentions by Tuesday afternoon, a daily record since the opposition started a civil disobedience campaign on May 2.
