Yerevan subway operations disrupted amid protests
The operations of the Yerevan Metro have been disrupted in the wake of opposition protests to force PM Nikol Pashinyan from office.
A group of activists carried out peaceful acts of civil disobedience at the Yeritasardakan subway station on Wednesday morning. The police stepped in, dragging the demonstrators to open the subway car doors.
In a statement, the Yerevan Metro said the entrances to all stations were closed to avoid overcrowding.
It promised to provide additional information as soon as the subway traffic is restored.
