Opposition protests to resume in Yerevan on Tuesday morning
The Armenian opposition will not hold a rally and a march in Yerevan on Monday evening given the bad weather conditions, one of its leaders, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, said in a Facebook post.
Anti-government demonstrations will resume in the Armenian capital early on Tuesday morning.
“As it has been announced, acts of civil disobedience have continued since early this morning,” he wrote.
“Taking into account the bad weather conditions, no rally is scheduled for today. Tomorrow, on May 24, at 8am, we should gather in France Square. We have a lot to do together,” Saghatelyan said.
The opposition will hold a rally near the statue of Sasuntsi Davit (David of Sassoun) on Tuesday evening.
"During this week, we will start our traditional rallies in various administrative districts of Yerevan to provide local residents a better opportunity to join the nationwide movement," the opposition leader added.
