Armenian soldier wounded in Azerbaijani shooting
An Armenian soldier has been wounded in fresh cross-border shooting by Azerbaijani forces, the Defense Ministry reported.
Private Davit Vardanyan suffered gunshot injuries after the Azerbaijani troops opened fire at Armenian combat positions in the southeastern part of the Armenian-Azerbaijani border on Saturday morning, using firearms of various calibers, including sniper rifles.
The solider is in serious condition.
“The enemy fire was suppressed after retaliatory actions of the Armenian army,” the ministry said.
