European Championships: Two Armenian boxers make it to finals
Two more Armenian boxers advanced to the finals of the EUBC European Men’s Elite Boxing Championships being held in Yerevan, Armenia, from 21 to 31 May.
In particular, Artur Bazeyan (57 kg) beat Javier Ibanez Diaz of Bulgaria 3-2 in the semi-finals on Sunday, setting up a fight for gold with Belgian Vasile Usturoi.
Hovhannes Bachkov (63.5 kg), a Tokyo 2020 bronze medalist, defeated Hungarian Richard Kovacs 5-0 and is set to take on Lounes Hamraoui of France in the finals scheduled for Monday.
