Child affected in clashes between police and protesters in Yerevan
A child has been injured during clashes between riot police and opposition protesters in Yerevan on Monday.
A scuffle erupted between police officers and demonstrators demanding Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation after they blocked a government building housing several ministries in city center.
“While defending the Government Building 3 and the "bastion of democracy," this innocent girl, who was violently pushed away by the police, was taken to Heratsi Hospital Complex,” user Artur Tovmasyan said in a Facebook post, sharing her photo.
“According to the ambulance worker, the child suffered a fracture. Shame on the Armenian man (policeman) who raised his hand against the child. Shame on you!" he wrote.
Earlier it was reported that four people, including two cops and two civilians, were injured in the clashes.
