Opposition leader's shirt torn amid clashes between police and protesters in Yerevan
The shirt of opposition leader and deputy parliament speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan was torn during clashes between riot police and protesters who blocked a government building housing several ministries in downtown Yerevan on Monday.
A scuffle erupted between protesters demanding Nikol Pashinyan’s resignation and police officers after the latter refused to allow opposition MPs to enter the building and meet with ministers.
Saghatelyan’s shirt was torn and his health worsened when he was pushed by the police.
Four people, including two cops and two protesters, were hospitalized after the clashes.
