Protesters march to EU Delegation office in Yerevan
Opposition protesters demanding Nikol Pashinyan's resignation started a march from Yerevan’s central France Square to the office of the EU Delegation in Armenia on Tuesday morning.
Addressing a rally on Monday evening, opposition leader and deputy parliament speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan said they would hold a march to the EU Delegation office to present facts of violence against demonstrators at daily protests in Yerevan and demand a clear response to it.
“We have repeatedly announced that by double standards and their silence, international organizations are only helping Pashinyan establish dictatorship in the country, which we will not allow,” he said.
The opposition will demand meetings with ambassadors accredited in Armenia. Other protests will also be held throughout the day, but no rally is planned for Tuesday evening.
