The Bulgarian national football team bus has crashed in Georgia ahead of their Nations League game on Sunday, Daily Mail reports.
The Bulgarian Football Union, BFU, confirmed that the team bus had suffered a 'serious road accident' after arriving in Tbilisi, with midfielder Todor Nedelev being taken to a local hospital.
The BFU confirmed that Nedelev suffered from craniocerebral trauma, but assured that he was the only person injured in the crash and that the rest of the team and staff 'are doing well'.
The BFU confirmed: 'The national team suffered a serious road accident after arriving in Tbilisi. On the way to the team's hotel, the driver of the first of the two buses carrying our team lost control of the vehicle.
'After the collision, midfielder Todor Nedelev was transported to a local hospital, where he is currently undergoing extensive clinical examinations. All other members of the team and staff of the Bulgarian national team are doing well.'
Bulgaria have had an underwhelming start to their Nations League group after losing 5-2 at home to upcoming opponents Georgia, before being held to a 1-1 draw with minnows Gibraltar.
