
Chocolate, ice cream production drops in Armenia
Armenia saw a significant decline in the production of chocolate and confectionery in the first four months of this year, the latest official statistics show.
In January-April 2022, the production of chocolate and sugar confectionery dropped by 23.7% to 2,161.5 tons. A total of 2,834.6 tons of chocolate were made in the country in the same months of 2021, the Statistical Committee revealed.
Meanwhile, Armenia produced 2,513 tons of confectionery this year, a decrease of 38.5% compared to last year.
Armenia’s ice cream output also dropped by 35.9% to 2,060.6 liters in January-April 2022,
