Pianist Eva Gevorgyan to perform in Armenia
Young Russian-Armenian piano prodigy Eva Gevorgyan will share a stage with the Armenian National Philharmonic Orchestra in Yerevan.
The concert under the baton of Alexander Liebreich is scheduled for July 8 at Aram Khachaturian Concert Hall, the orchestra said.
The program features Sergei Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 2 and Tigran Mansurian’s Requiem.
Gevorgyan catapulted to fame at 17 years old as the youngest ever finalist in the 2021 International Chopin Competition in Warsaw, Poland.
She has received prizes in more than 40 international competitions for piano and composition – in the United States, Germany, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Estonia, Malta, Kazakhstan, Poland, Czech Republic, Georgia, Russia and Serbia.
