Armenian analyst: Our key task is to become a nation again
Political analyst Stepan Danielyan says Armenia should “become a nation again”.
"Our main task today is to become a nation again. We should not be afraid to describe the situation properly. It is necessary for sober judgements, without which we cannot look for ways out,” he wrote on Facebook on Thursday.
“What is a nation? A nation is a people capable of creating political institutions acceptable to all, shaping the rules of coexistence, mobilizing around common problems and making decisions. First and foremost, intellectual potential is necessary to form a nation.
“These criteria are absent and we are a crowd now. The number one political agenda today is to turn the crowd back into a nation,” the analyst said.
