Cinematographer Vladislav Opelyants among members of Golden Apricot jury
Russian cinematographer Vladislav Opelyants has been named a member of the International Full-Length Competition jury at the 19th Golden Apricot Yerevan International Film Festival scheduled for July 10-17.
Opelyants is one of the favorite cinematographers of both Nikita Mikhalkov and Kirill Serebrennikov who have frequently collaborated with him in recent decades.
In addition to notable festival films, Opelyants has made more than 100 music videos for Alla Pugacheva, Zemfira, Mummy Troll and dozens of other groups and artists.
Opelyants won the best cinematography award for Petrov's Flu, a 2021 crime comedy-drama film, at the 74th Cannes Film Festival (Vulcain Prize)
He has made plenty of commercials for brands such as Nescafe, Pepsi, Coca Cola and many more.
Vladislav Opelyants is a student of legendary cinematographer Vadim Yusov.
