Opposition MP sums up visit to Artsakh
Tigran Abrahamyan, a lawmaker from the opposition Pativ Unem bloc, has revealed details of his latest visit to Artsakh along with several other opposition members.
He said the trip was eventful and not limited to official meetings.
“In Artsakh’s Martakert, Askeran and Martuni regions as well as in the capital Stepanakert, we held numerous meetings with people of different professions where the primary task was not to talk but to listen to our compatriots,” Abrahamyan wrote on Facebook.
The lawmaker said they reiterated their commitment to the common goal to prevent the Azerbaijaniization and the Turkification of Artsakh and Armenia.
“During the meetings with Artsakh’s former Presidents Arkadi Ghukasyan and Bako Sahakyan, it was stated that there is a public and political consensus on national issues in Artsakh and the people of Artsakh are united in the realization of their just demands,” Abrahamyan said.
“The unwavering principle for Artsakh is that Artsakh will never be part of Azerbaijan and people are ready to put aside their personal and group interests and consolidate around the national agenda to this end,” he noted.
