Opposition leader: There is only one way to save Armenia and Artsakh
Opposition leader and deputy parliament speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan again accused the incumbent Armenian authorities of plotting new territorial concessions to Azerbaijan.
“The current government of traitors does not serve the interests of Artsakh, Armenia and the Armenian people. It is an obvious fact, which we are talking about every single day,” he wrote on Facebook on Tuesday.
“They continue the policy towards handing over the country to the enemy piece by piece in an effort to give legal force to the agendas developed in Baku and Ankara. But when they see that the people are standing up, they start intimidating them with [warnings about] a new war, saying that Azerbaijan is building legitimacy for a new war against Armenia,” the MP said.
At an online news conference on Monday, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused Azerbaijan of rejecting peace talks and trying to legitimize a new war against Armenia.
“Believe me, the enemy has sufficient resources of that "legitimacy", which stems from Nikol Pashinyan’s rule,” Saghatelyan wrote.
“There is only one way to save Armenia and Artsakh from this destructive course: to oust the current government. No new arguments are needed for it. Everything has been clear for a long time. We must resist the enemy and Nikol’s agenda," he said, calling for unity and relentless struggle.
The Armenian opposition will hold its next rally in Yerevan’s France Square on Friday evening.
