Heatwave to persist in Armenia
The heatwave spell will persist in Armenia in the next few days, according to the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center forecast.
Temperatures of up to 41C are set to hit some parts of the country, including the capital Yerevan, next week, forecasters say.
Rain and thunderstorms are expected in some regions on 9 July, but no precipitation is forecast for July 10-14.
The southeastern wind speed is 2-5 m/s. Strong winds of up to 22 m/s are expected during thunderstorms. Winds of up to 20 m/s are forecast in Armavir, Aragatsotn and Kotayk foothills in the evening.
Temperatures are set to gradually increase by 4-6C across the country on July 9-13.
No precipitation is expected in Yerevan in the next five days.
