Third quake hits Armenia-Georgia border area in one day
The Territorial Survey for Seismic Protection of Armenia’s Ministry of Emergency Situations reported a third earthquake in the Armenia-Georgia border area on Monday morning.
The 2․8-magnitude quake hit 13 km northeast of the village of Bavra at 10:14am local time.
The tremors measured 3-4 points on the MSK scale at the epicenter.
The jolts were felt in several villages of Shirak Province, including in Bavra, Saragyugh, Ghazanchi and Tavshut.
Two quakes measuring 4.4 magnitude and 3.8 magnitude struck the same area earlier on Monday.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
