Temperatures set to drop in Armenia
The heatwave is persisting in Armenia on Wednesday with temperatures of up to 40C expected to hit some parts of the country, including the capital Yerevan.
Rain and thunderstorms are predicted in some regions in the next few days, the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center reports.
The southern wind speed is 2-5 m/s. Strong winds of up to 16 m/s are forecast in Armavir as well as the Aragatsotn and Kotayk foothills in the evening.
Temperatures are expected to fall by 5-7C on July 22-24.
