Russia donates monkeypox test kits to Armenia, other CIS countries
Russia has donated monkeypox test kits to a number of member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), RIA Novosti reported on Wednesday, citing Rospotrebnadzor, the country’s consumer safety watchdog.
The test kits were donated to Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.
Rospotrebnadzor said earlier that the Vector State Research Center promptly produced tests to detect monkeypox cases and testing is now available throughout Russia.
“In addition, Rospotrebnadzor specialists are organizing special seminars on the laboratory diagnosis of monkeypox for their colleagues from partner countries," RIA Novosti said.
