Mkhitar Papoyan installed as Armenian appellate court chair
The Supreme Judicial Council, a state body overseeing Armenian court, on Monday elected Mkhitar Papoyan as Chairman of the Court of Criminal Appeals, the Union of Judges of Armenia reports.
Papoyan has worked at the Foreign Ministry, the Court of Cassation, the Judicial Department as well as at the Court of General Jurisdiction of Yerevan and Kotayk Province.
In 2015, he was appointed a judge of the Court of Appeals. In 2018, the General Assembly of Judges installed him as a member of the Disciplinary Commission.
