Protest against entry ban imposed on Diaspora Armenians held outside Foreign Ministry
The Youth Office of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) on Wednesday held a protest outside the Armenian Foreign Ministry against the entry ban imposed by the Armenian authorities on three Diaspora Armenians.
Two ARF activists from the Netherlands, Massis Abrahamian and his daughter Suneh, were barred from entering Armenia on Monday and Sunday, respectively, while French-Armenian community leader Mourad Papazian was denied entry to Armenia two weeks ago.
Opposition Hayastan bloc MP Kristine Vardanyan accused the authorities of exacting political vengeance and driving a wedge between Armenia and the Diaspora.
“It’s is absolutely unacceptable especially in these conditions,” she told reporters at the protest. “Only two men have “blacklists” of Armenians – Nikol Pashinyan and Ilham Aliyev.”
