Indian national arrested for killing fellow citizen in Yerevan
Armenian’s law enforcement authorities have arrested a 45-year-old Indian national on charges of killing his fellow citizen in Yerevan.
In a statement on Monday, the Investigative Committee said the body of the 27-year-old Indian student with multiple head injuries was found in the area of a stone processing plant on Davit Bek Street on Sunday morning. A metal rod covered with blood was found near his body.
As a result of investigative and search operations it was possible to reveal the circumstances of the crime as well as the identity of the killer and his motives.
According to the law enforcement agency, the two Indian men had a quarrel during which the suspect hit the victim in the head several times with the metal rod. The latter died from the injuries. The suspect was arrested and confessed to the crime, the statement said.
