Temperatures set to drop in Armenia
Temperatures of 38-40C are expected in some some parts of Armenia, including the capital Yerevan, Ararat valley, foothills of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor Provinces, on September 3-4 amid a heatwave.
Wildfire risks remain high in the country’s valleys and foothills, the Hydrometeorology and Monitoring Center reports.
No rain is predicted in Armenia’s regions over the weekend. Rain and thunderstorms are forecast for September 5-8.
The southwestern wind speed is 2-5 m/s. Winds of up to 18 m/s are expected during thunderstorms.
Temperatures are set to fall by 6-9C next week.
