No specific dates yet: Minister touches on plans to build academic complex in Ashtarak
Armenia’s Minister of Education Vahram Dumanyan on Monday touched on the plans to build an academic campus in the town of Ashtarak in Aragatsotn Province.
At a cabinet meeting last week, PM Nikol Pashinyan said the academic city would house all state-run universities of Armenia.
“There will be no more than eight state-run universities with full state funding and in line with international standards,” he said.
“Yes, it’s absolutely possible to ensure high-quality education in Ashtarak,” the minister told reporters.
He said no specific dates for the creation of the academic campus had been yet set, pending the approval of the project.
