Oppositionist slams Pashinyan's 'disgraceful' speech at Eastern Economic Forum
The deputy chairman of the opposition Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Armen Ashotyan, on Wednesday denounced Nikol Pashinyan's speech at the 7th Eastern Economic Forum in the Russian Pacific city of Vladivostok as “disgraceful” and “primitive”.
In a public post on Facebook, he criticized the premier for failure to address the interests of Armenia and Artsakh, including Artsakh’s right to self-determination.
“Instead, the Russian president talked thoroughly about the right of peoples to self-determination,” Ashotyan wrote.
“It was a superficial and primitive statement that would suit a second-year international relations student (sorry, guys),” the oppositionist said, also criticizing Pashinyan's poor knowledge of Russian and “cheesy compliments” to the host country.
