Armenian government allocates 693 million drams for subvention schemes
The Armenian government on Thursday approved a proposal to allocate 693 million drams from the state budget for the implementation of subvention schemes in regions.
Speaking at the cabinet meeting, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures Gnel Sanosyan said the subvention programs have either been completed or are near completion, adding the government is now to fulfill its obligation to co-finance them.
In his words, 15 programs have been carried out in 11 communities, including in Gegharkunik (AMD 70 million), Lori (AMD 23 million), Ararat (AMD 71 million), Syunik (AMD 353 million), Shirak (AMD 29 million) and Vayots Dzor Provinces (AMD 145 million).
In total, the government has allocated some 8.8 billion drams for subvention schemes since the beginning of 2022.
