Armenian, Russian defense ministers hold phone call amid Azeri aggression
Armenia’s Defense Minister Suren Papikyan on Tuesday held a phone conversation with his Russian counterpart, Army General Sergei Shoigu amid fresh Azerbaijani attack on Armenia.
Papikyan briefed the Russian defense chief on the situation resulting from the large-scale Azerbaijani aggression launched against the sovereign territory of Armenia last night, the Armenian Defense Ministry reported.
“Suren Papikyan and Sergei Shoigu agreed to undertake necessary steps towards the stabilization of the situation,” the ministry said.
