Azerbaijan renews attacks against Armenia
The situation on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border remained tense overnight, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement on Wednesday morning.
“In particular, the Azerbaijani military used combat UAVs in the direction of Jermuk. Despite no significant incidents taking place in the remaining directions of the Azerbaijani aggression unleashed on Tuesday, starting 8am, the enemy re-launched its attacks by using artillery, mortars and large-caliber firearms in the directions of Jermuk and Verin Shorzha,” the ministry said.
“The Armenian armed forces are taking adequate countermeasures and continue entirely fulfilling their combat tasks.
“Despite a clear reaction from the international community to the situation, in fact Azerbaijan’s military-political leadership continues its acts of aggression against the sovereign territory of Armenia, targeting both military and civilian infrastructure.
“The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia announces that the entire responsibility for the situation and further developments falls on the military-political leadership of Azerbaijan,” reads the statement.
