Army chief: Azerbaijani troops dismembered Armenian female soldier's body
The chief of the Armenian army’s General Staff, Edvard Asryan, told foreign diplomats accredited in Armenia about Azerbaijan’s war crimes during its latest aggression against Armenia.
At a meeting with the diplomats in the spa town of Jermuk on Friday, he said Azerbaijani troops committed atrocities against Armenian service personnel, including female soldiers, after capturing Armenian combat positions.
“They dismembered an Armenian female soldier's body, cut off her legs, fingers and stripped her naked. The is the utmost form of cruelty,” Asryan said, promising to show a video of the Azerbaijani atrocities.
He underlined that “no military force, unit or soldier of any country has the right to commit such atrocities”. “It’s a gross violation of the international humanitarian law,” Asryan stressed.
He assured that the Armenian military will continue to make every effort to ensure the county’s security.
