Armenian ombudsperson releases report on Azerbaijani attack, war crimes
Armenia’s Human Rights Defender Kristine Grigoryan has released an ad hoc report on the consequences of the latest Azerbaijani military attack on Armenia.
The ombudswoman has presented and analyzed the war crimes committed by the Azerbaijani military during the aggression, her office said on Saturday.
She has presented facts on displaced persons, documented evidence of targeting the emergency medical vehicles and journalists, violations of child's rights and the rights of persons with disabilities. The report also points to the targeting of the civilian population and vital civilian infrastructures, as well as other material and environmental damages.
“The facts about torture and ill-treatment of Armenian soldiers, as well as the mutilation of the dead bodies of Armenian service personnel by Azerbaijani forces are analyzed in the non-public part of this report. Those facts also are sent to the competent international organizations and actors,” the office said.
