Rallies held in Artsakh capital for several days now
Rallies have been held on the Revival Square in Stepanakert, the capital of Artsakh, for a few days now, according to a video report shared by the Artsakh Public TV on Friday.
The wave of protests was sparked by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's latest statement in the parliament that he was ready to make "tough decisions for the sake of peace."
“It's been several days now, but concerns among the public have not abated. The statements and assurances that no document on the status of Artsakh has been put on the table are treated with skepticism.
“People expect clear answers from the Artsakh officials following the meeting with their colleagues in Armenia concerning Artsakh's future. They say if there is external pressure, the people are ready to resist it together with the authorities, but they will not tolerate behind-the-scenes deals on Artsakh's future," the report says.
Facebook user Hripsime Arshakyan posted photos from Friday’s rally in Stepanakert on her page, writing: "Salvation will come from Artsakh.”
