Pelosi visits Armenian Genocide monument
At the invitation of Speaker of Armenia’s National Assembly Alen Simonyan, a delegation led by Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives Nancy Pelosi is in Armenia on a three-day official visit.
The senior U.S. officials accompanied by Simonyan visited the Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex in Yerevan on Sunday, the parliament’s press service reported.
The members of the delegation laid a wreath and flowers at the Eternal Flame perpetuating the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims, observing a minute’s silence in memory of the innocent martyrs.
The guests, accompanied by Edita Gzoyan, Deputy Scientific Director of the Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute, also toured the museum and became acquainted with the permanent and temporary exhibitions there.
