Artsakh MPs meet with commander of Russian peacekeeping troops
The heads of the factions in the Artsakh National Assembly on Wednesday met with the commander of Russian peacemaking contingent in Artsakh, Major-General Major-General Andrey Volkov.
The deputies attached importance to the peacekeeping mission’s role in ensuring stability in the region and discussed the general situation, the current and possible future developments in the region, the parliament’s press office reported.
Certain issues brought up by the public over the new route of the Lachin corridor were also addressed. Volkov assured that the Russian peacekeepers were fully controlling the safety of the corridor, adding the issues would be resolved upon the completion of the construction work.
The need for frequent contacts was highlighted for addressing the concerns of the society.
