Oppositionist slams Pashinyan's 'inane' speech at UN General Assembly
The deputy chair of the opposition Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Armen Ashotyan, took to Facebook early on Friday to denounce Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan’s speech at the 77th session of the UN General Assembly.
He called Pashinyan’s statement “primitive and inane”, also condemning him for “disgraceful performance”.
“He made stupid jokes about Russia and made no mention of the Artsakh people’s right to self-determination,” Ashotyan wrote.
“Moreover, he referred to the people of Artsakh as ‘Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh’. Abandoning the army and failing in the country’s foreign policy, this half-wit counts on ‘democracy’,” he said.
