National Progress Party to run in Yerevan elections
The National Progress Party has announced its decision to run in the 2023 Yerevan City Council elections.
The party’s electoral list will be led by its board member Hayk Grigoryan, National Progress said in a statement on Monday.
“Obviously, the incumbent authorities as well as the ruing faction in the Yerevan City Council have failed to deliver on their campaign promises,” the party said.
“Most of Yerevan's problems remain unsolved and are little likely to be addressed both under the current government and in case of the former rulers’ return.
"It is also clear that the vast majority of people wants to see an alternative or alternatives in the political arena,” reads the statement.
