Spox reveals why Belarusian ambassador was summoned to Armenian Foreign Ministry
Belarusian Ambassador to Armenia Aleksandr Konyuk has been summoned to the Foreign Ministry of Armenia over the remarks on the recent visit of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Yerevan, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Vahan Hunanyan said in comments to News.am on Friday.
At a recent news briefing, Belarusian Foreign Minister Vladimir Makei claimed that such visits “fuel the exacerbation of conflicts” in the region.
“The head of the diplomatic mission of Belarus in Armenia was summoned to the Armenian Foreign Ministry where he was provided with the concern and considerations of the Armenian side regarding the mentioned statement,” Hunanyan explained.
